Fascinating, History to me!
Its extremely
fascinating to me how we have reached today from the ancient time to year 2018.
I have realized that its very interesting to know autobiography or
inventions or historical event which changed a country or world like world war
1 & 2, various civil wars or various wars which happens in either
India with neighboring countries or History of how India after
independence suffered to get divided for Hindus & Muslims .
Whenever i think of
any of such historical events or people who happened to exist , i feel
fascinated. Fascinated because it was never easy to be a part of them.
In today's blog , i
shall enlist few of my all time crushes towards the existence of History /
events .
It started with the
curiosity of how great leaders & citizens of India bought this independence
to us. This independence was the greatest Joy which has come to each of us
because of them, they who died fighting this, they who knew the pain, they who
not wanted their next generation to breath under British. I read few books to
kill my curiosity, to know the torture and pain of those year, to realize how
difficult it was when people ruling you were not your mentors, they were just
using them. It was a saddest pain that our ancestors went through.
Later, then i was
attracted to the fact that those years , around 1947, Technology & science
was not much available to world, the lives were different. This was quite
interesting to know how people had their priorities in life, how they were used
to spent their schedule of day, how had they living in a family with so many
siblings around etc. A book Greatest partition by yasmin Khan helped me to
visualize the incidents of before & after the separation. ALso, a Long
detailed documentary on netflix which i saw explained me well how India was
formed, how pakistan was formed along with east & west pakistan. If i
was living in those years, for me certainly it would never been easy if someone
would had asked me to stand and go to some other part of country forever,
leaving my entire "achieved & earned" items of my life. It
certainly was a saddest but a fascinating part to understand.
While i was waiting
on railway station to pick someone, i randomly purchased a book " Mein
kamp" a autobiography of Adolf Hitler. I had no clue who he was, was he a
good guy in history or a bad . After i purchased, i got to see a 10
episode documentary on netflix on WW2. My curiosity then moved to few
years before 1947 to 1939-1945, World war 2. Since childhood, i believe in some
class i had learnt details of WW2 but i had no memory of it. I thought it would
be an interesting effort to understand why, how & where this WW2
happened. I saw a detailed documentary again available in netflix which
later convinced me why this book "Mein Kamp" was banned in various
countries including Germany. Later , About
85,000 German-language copies of the anti-Semitic Nazi manifesto have been sold
after the book was released in 2017. I got curious to know more about Adolf
hitler, i never knew history could be so beautiful. As a summary i could say,
Adolf was a brave man, he had a great desire to succeed in his life &
career, however his habits & inability to listen to others along with
irrational ego took him into the falling edge of his life. Adolf Hitler came
to power in Germany & gave a good economic stability along
with strength to the military , his collapse happened due to his desire to
capture world & did suicide on the day when Germany was surrounded by
rivals from all corners. I feel fascinated to know Hitlers life , he was
very aggressive, arrogant, he lived his entire life in proud and respect,
he took Germany from a low economic country to a high GDP nation, but
such a Great Leader to a Nation left Germany with a defeat to Germany in
WW2.
Germany & Japan were the actual culprits of
WW2 who initiated this war in order to capture lands & other countries.
Japan being such a small country had too much desire to capture more land
for future so that they become more stronger in area . Similarly Germany
Captured various lands of various countries from 1939-45. The bombing of
Nagasaki & Hiroshima was a sad experience to read, however it
certainly was a important action taken by Unites states of America to stop WW2.
While in this, i also realized various inventions happened in WW2 in
terms of arms, ammunition, telecoms etc along with nuclear invention.
Experiment to this first invention happened to be at Hiroshima and Nagasaki
killing many & affecting many for coming years.
Later i also felt
attracted to few very inspirational scientist like Mr Tesla who invented AC
motors & few other things . His life & achievements as a human being in
those years of 1885 was never easy. I got to know one real incident which
He wrote in his book was, During a class when he was of 22 age, his teacher
told that its impossible to make a AC motor to run on AC current, by that time
it was only DC motors available . Mr Tesla in class objected & tried to
convince his teacher that certainly AC motor could be invented. Every one
made fun of him, later he spent days & nights for like 4 years , at age of
26 while he walking in park at dawn of sunset, he got an insight of idea to
invent AC motor. He developed a prototype and proved him. However for him it
was not easy, later , he went to Mr Edison company who was mainly working of DC
currents, Edision took him on job but when Tesla explained about his
plans regarding AC motor, Edision appeared unhappy. Mr Tesla left the company
after 6 months, no matter how much tesla was a admirer of success of Mr
Edision. Tesla even dig roadside and earned a food of one day, their wa s time
where he did not knew where to get food next day from!
I read a lot about
Mr Mohandas karamchand Gandhi ( Mahatma Gandhi), father of Nation of India. I
read his life in order to understand why it has become so easy today to make
fun of him, why is their a existence of such people who makes fun of M Gandhi.
While i read his book, i realized it was certainly not easy to be like him, he
lived a life which was completely dedicated in History for "We"
people of India.
All these stories ,
incidents, explanations hits my mind and make me feel that their was a world
which i missed to live ! missed to see for real ! however they exist, they
exist in History , they exist in books, they exist in minds.
